In short
Strong Dreams was created by Kristina Dineko, a fine fragrance perfumer at IFF in Neuilly with a stated specialism in natural raw materials. It opens on luminous, acidulous fruits, turns through a white floral bouquet, and rests on dark patchouli, vanilla and benzoin. The whole composition is built on that contrast: light above, heavy below. 55 mL, €160.
Key facts
- Fine fragrance perfumer at IFF Neuilly, promoted to perfumer from within the house.
- Trained specialism in natural ingredients — raw-materials knowledge rather than accord assembly alone.
- Also credited with Alchemist Musc Laiteux and Musc Vanille in the Les Classiques collection, and Le Bonheur Prime 26 (2025).
- Strong Dreams is her composition for Eau de Dubai, in the When East Meets West collection.
- Of the three creator fragrances, hers is the one built on contrast rather than blend.

Who is Kristina Dineko?
Dineko is a perfumer at IFF’s Neuilly site, outside Paris, working in fine fragrance. IFF promoted her to perfumer from within the house — the normal route for a perfumer who comes up through evaluation and the lab rather than arriving with a portfolio.
Her stated area of expertise is natural raw materials. In practice that means she works from the materials up: not “I need a floral heart here” but “this absolute, at this concentration, behaves this way against that base”. It is a less fashionable specialism than it sounds, because naturals are inconsistent between harvests and expensive to use at the levels that make them legible.
Her other credited work is small but pointed. For Alchemist‘s Les Classiques collection she composed two of the musks, Musc Laiteux and Musc Vanille — a collection hand-blended at IFF’s own atelier. For Le Bonheur Perfumes she composed Prime 26 (2025), built on cardamom, cinnamon, saffron, dates, osmanthus, tuberose, leather, labdanum, tonka and patchouli. That last list is worth reading twice: it is an Arabic-oriental structure, composed before or alongside her work for Eau de Dubai. She is not a European perfumer being introduced to the idiom.
What does a naturals specialist bring to Strong Dreams?
Strong Dreams has an unusual shape. Most fragrances blend their stages so one dissolves into the next. This one does not: fresh acidulous fruit sits directly on top of dark patchouli, vanilla and benzoin, and you are meant to notice the join.
That is the hardest kind of composition to hold together. Patchouli at the concentration needed to read as “dark” will swallow a fruit top, and benzoin is a sweet balsamic resin that tends to pull everything towards gourmand. Keeping the fruit bright and acidic against that, rather than letting it turn jammy, is a materials problem — which proportion, which quality, which fruit facets survive contact with a resinous base. It is exactly what a raw-materials specialism is for.
The white floral heart is the mechanism that makes it work. It is neither bright nor dark, so it sits between the two halves and gives the nose somewhere to go while the fruit fades and the patchouli rises.
How is Strong Dreams built?
| Stage | Notes | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Top | Luminous, acidulous fruits | A radiant, tart opening — energetic rather than sweet |
| Heart | White floral bouquet | Refined and elegant; the hinge between the bright top and the dark base |
| Base | Dark patchouli, vanilla, benzoin | Earthy patchouli, smooth vanilla, resinous benzoin: deep and long |
The brand does not name the individual fruits or the individual white florals, and this page will not invent them.
Strong Dreams sits in Eau de Dubai’s Orientals & Amber family. It is sold as unisex and leans slightly feminine in character.
How does it compare with the other two creator fragrances?

|---|---|---|---|
| Perfumer | Kristina Dineko | Dominique Ropion | Tanguy Guesnet |
| Built on | Contrast | Blend | Dryness |
| Top | Luminous, acidulous fruits | Citrus, almond | Pink pepper, lychee |
| Base | Dark patchouli, vanilla, benzoin | Cedarwood, vanilla, amber | Patchouli, labdanum |
| Character | High-contrast, dramatic | Warm, nutty-amber, skin-close | Dry, resinous, spiced |
| Price (55 mL) | €160 | €190 | €160 |
Strong Dreams is the most dramatic of the three and the one that changes most over a wear. If you prefer a fragrance that settles rather than shifts, Endless Love by Dominique Ropion blends its stages instead of contrasting them. If you want the same depth without the fruit, Delicate Touch by Tanguy Guesnet is drier and more spiced.
