Cookie Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This page explains the cookies eaudd.com uses. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more generally.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise your browser on the next page you open — which is how a shopping basket remembers what you put in it. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way and are covered by this policy too.
What we currently use
At present eaudd.com sets only strictly necessary cookies. Visiting and browsing the shop sets no cookies at all. Cookies appear once you do something that requires the site to remember you:
- Basket and session cookies — set by our shop software when you add an item to your basket or start checkout, so that your basket survives from one page to the next and your order can be completed.
- Account and login cookies — set when you sign in to an account, so you stay signed in while you move around the site.
- Caching and security cookies — used in a limited way by our hosting layer to serve pages quickly and to protect forms against abuse.
These are necessary for the shop to function, and under Dutch law (Article 11.7a of the Telecommunicatiewet) they do not require your consent. They are deleted when your session ends, or after a short period.
What we do not use
We do not currently place analytics, advertising, profiling or social-media cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place tracking cookies through our site. If that changes, we will ask for your consent before any such cookie is set, and we will update this page first.
Managing cookies yourself
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser offers this under a heading such as Privacy, Cookies or Site data. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the basket and checkout from working.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever the cookies we use change, and change the date at the top.
